Individualized marketing solutions to meet the diverse needs of providers

Behavioral healthcare organizations are more than treatment providers. They are visionaries and pioneers driven by deeply-rooted missions to help individuals and families find recovery and restore well-being. We have the expertise, experience, and capabilities to see and express the best in each provider to develop comprehension,

Turnbridge

We met Turnbridge when they had built the philosophical and clinical foundations that would innovate emerging adult behavioral healthcare, but before they were being recognized for their contributions. While Turnbridge invited us to propose public relations services, we immediately realized that the people and promise of Turnbridge possessed incredible untapped value, and that parents and professionals had to be made aware of this provider and its potential.

We started with brand narrative creation that would become a Turnbridge touchstone. Informed by the brand narrative, we developed corporate identity, website, primary collateral creation, and went on to help Turnbridge create seamlessly and compellingly branded videos, vertical collateral pieces, conference support materials, professional event communications, branded apparel, and much more. Today, Turnbridge is a nationally recognized leader in adolescent and young adult behavioral healthcare, expanding its programs and continuing to innovate on behalf of clients, families, and the field.

NRT

NRT Behavioral Health began with a pre-existing residential program and has since expanded into a comprehensive system that includes residential, PHP, IOP, and virtual IOP levels of care. NRT, which stands for “Next Right Thing,” is working hard to address unmet needs for Colorado residents.

We developed the NRT Behavioral Health brand as well as the branding and communications for its Foundry treatment programs. In addition to establishing identities, building websites, and developing various collateral materials for this house of brands, we provide advertising, PR, and outreach team support services.

Nuway

NUWAY Alliance, established in 1966 by members of the Minneapolis Alano Society, was one of America’s longest-operating and largest nonprofit behavioral healthcare providers. When we met NUWAY, the organization was helping more than 1,000 people daily through evidence-based care and connections to recovery-supportive services.

We helped NUWAY create websites, videos, collateral, presentation materials, interactive games, graphics, newsletters, PR campaigns, board presentations, and other vehicles to help NUWAY engage thousands of referring professionals in the medical, legal, and justice fields.

(In 2025, NUWAY reached a settlement with the Justice Department resulting in the sale of its outpatient programs. NUWAY continues serving the people of Minnesota through its residential programs.)

Harmony Foundation

With more than 50 years of service in addiction treatment, Harmony had earned deep trust in Colorado and around the country. When they approached Psynchronous, they were seeking a way to honor their legacy while building momentum for future growth. We partnered across nearly every external point of touch, including marketing, business development, admissions, recruitment, development, and alumni. The result was a unified strategy that improved alignment between departments and helped the goal of alignment and performance.

One of the most impactful outcomes was the growth of Harmony’s alumni program. With targeted support and structure, the program became a primary source of census, generating over half of all admissions. Alumni-driven referrals consistently delivered the lowest cost per acquisition, making it one of the most efficient and scalable growth levers. Psynchronous also helped refine and reposition the IOP experience, incorporating automated support tools that added value for clients without increasing staff workload. These improvements were introduced under a refreshed brand message that positioned Harmony as both trusted and forward-thinking in a competitive market.

Differentiating IOP with Individualized Reach

Based on a competitive analysis, we identified that most IOP programs rely heavily on revolving admissions with limited personalization. We introduced a new approach that layered individualized support onto Harmony’s existing program without increasing staff workload. Using the same mobile app already in place for alumni and family programming, clients received targeted videos, meditations, worksheets, and notifications aligned to where they were in their treatment journey. The updated IOP model not only increased group participation but also strengthened Harmony’s brand as a fifty-year organization committed to meaningful innovation.

One Story. One Day.
One App.

Created with no budget but a clear vision, this video told the story of a Harmony alumna using the alumni app to support her daily recovery. Instead of listing features, it followed her from morning to night, showing how the app helps her stay grounded, connected, and engaged. The narrative made the technology feel personal and accessible.

Muirwood

Muir Wood is an example of exceptional leadership. The founder of Muir Wood set out to make exceptional care accessible to adolescents and families, and they succeeded.

Over the years, we developed the Muir Wood branding, websites, collateral materials, conference materials, traditional and digital advertising, and numerous special projects to ensure prospective clients and professionals were aware of the organization’s excellent treatment offerings. Today, Muir Wood continues expanding to meet the needs of families in California and beyond.

New Paradigm

TPAS

TPAS initially approached Psynchronous to redesign its website, but the relationship quickly grew into a broader strategic partnership. We helped refine the organization's positioning as the leader in the field of alumni services. The new website framed the organization for behavioral health c-suite roles as one of tangible strategic impact for programs. At the same time, we introduced a separate platform to support real-time connection and collaboration among members.

Previously TPAS membership had become stagnant but in the years that followed, membership doubled and continues to thrive today. The organization has expanded its presence internationally and now serves as the leading professional community for alumni engagement in behavioral health. Psynchronous founding partner, Kevin Zundl was then invited to join the TPAS Board of Directors and became the longest-serving co-chair, helping guide the evolution from a few in-person events each year to a robust schedule of monthly workshops, virtual gatherings, coaching, and sponsorship opportunities. TPAS now brings together professionals committed to ethical standards, innovation, and long-term connection in recovery.

Lakeview Health

Lakeview Health is a story of transformation. The challenge was to communicate how new leadership had taken a struggling addiction treatment center in Jacksonville, Florida and created one of the strongest programs in behavioral health. While construction crews renovated existing structures and built a newsworthy women's campus, Psynchronous was able to just as significantly change the way the organization approached marketing.

Psynchronous replaced an overreliance on volatile SEO tactics with a unified, message-first strategy that delivered lasting impact. We introduced a well-balanced media mix, including personalized SiriusXM live reads by nationally recognized voices, and developed tailored communications for families, referring professionals, and alumni. The results showed that sustainable census growth comes from clarity, credibility, and connection, not from trying to game search engines.

When you have so many newsworthy changes to share with the world, it is important to have the media relations experience and relationships to make it news. Psynchronous helped to keep Lakeview Health in the national conversation by concepting relevant stories for a wide-range of publications and networks.
