A Woburn marketing agency is helping online search giant Google Inc. burrow its way into yet another advertising segment: television.
Earlier this year, Google, based in Mountain View, Calif., invited Psynchronous Communications Inc. to participate in a test drive of Google TV Ads — an online platform that aims to make TV advertising more accessible, flexible and measurable — prior to its April launch. The do-it-yourself model, still in its infancy, has the potential to pose a threat to the business of traditional media buying agencies if it gains traction in the market. Google did not quantify the response it has had to Google TV Ads since the product’s launch.
